Elite Cooking Nest

What Our Clients Say First

"We tried three different catering companies before finding Elite Cooking Nest. The difference wasn't just in the food — it was in how they listened, adapted, and made our dietary restrictions feel like an opportunity rather than a limitation." — Margaret H., Edinburgh, private dinner client since 2023

Quick Fact

Over 78% of our new bookings come from direct referrals. We don't run ads — our cooking speaks for itself.

Which Cooking Service Actually Fits Your Life?

Not every household needs the same approach to food. Some want a chef in the kitchen every Tuesday. Others need a freezer stocked with ready-to-heat meals. A few want to learn the craft themselves. This comparison guide helps you decide — honestly and without pressure.

Still Unsure?

Answer one question: What do you need solved?

"I don't have time to cook during the week." → Weekly Meal Prep is your match. We handle sourcing, cooking, portioning, and labelling. You just reheat.

"I'm hosting a dinner and want it to be exceptional." → A Private Chef Visit transforms your kitchen into a restaurant. We bring the menu, the technique, and the cleanup crew.

"I want to actually get better at cooking." → Our Culinary Workshops are hands-on, small-group, and designed around real skills — not performance cooking.

Combination bookings are common. Many clients start with a workshop, then move to weekly meal prep once they realise how much time it saves.

Real Scenarios, Real Outcomes

The Overwhelmed Parent

A family of five in Stirling switched to our weekly meal prep after their youngest developed a nut allergy. We built a rotating 3-week menu that every child actually eats. They've been with us for 14 months.

The Anniversary Dinner

A couple in Glasgow booked a private chef for their 10th anniversary. Five-course tasting menu, wine pairings sourced from a local merchant, and they never left their living room. They now book quarterly.

The Corporate Team

A fintech startup brought 8 employees to our workshop for a team offsite. They made fresh pasta from scratch, learned knife skills, and ate together. Three participants later booked personal meal prep.

What We Don't Do

  • Mass catering (50+ guests)
  • Wedding catering
  • Restaurant consulting
  • Delivery-only meal kits
  • Pre-packaged frozen meals

How Each Service Works

Private Chef Visits

You tell us the occasion, guest count, and any dietary needs. We propose a menu within 48 hours. On the day, our chef arrives 2 hours before service, cooks everything fresh in your kitchen, serves each course, and leaves your kitchen spotless.

"It felt like dining out without leaving home." — R.T., Falkirk

Weekly Meal Prep

We design a personalised weekly menu based on your household's preferences, allergies, and nutritional goals. Every Sunday or Monday, portioned meals arrive at your door — labelled, dated, and ready to reheat in under 10 minutes.

"My grocery bill dropped by a third." — D.K., Perth

Culinary Workshops

Small groups of 2–8 people. Each session focuses on one cuisine or technique: French sauces, Japanese knife work, Italian pasta, plant-based cooking, bread baking. You cook, you eat, you take home recipes and confidence.

"I finally understand why my risotto was always wrong." — A.M., Dundee
